From 18 to 22 May, the Ateneu de Fabricació de Gràcia presents the exhibition “Discovering Feed Your Future”, featuring projects that design new responses to social challenges such as climate change and food sustainability.
These are four collaborative proposals developed during the Training Camp in which, from June to October 2025, IED Barcelona students took part as part of the European initiative “Feed Your Future”, a project led by the Milan City Council in collaboration with the Barcelona campus and various international partners.
Featured projects:
“Living Layers”: an open-source urban cultivation system inspired by Mediterranean courtyards. It combines digital design and craftsmanship with a hydroponic prototype in 3D-printed ceramics, adapted to each environment.
“Kombo”: a circular innovation that transforms food production waste into biomaterials for packaging and utensils, exploring new forms of responsible consumption.
“Esencia”: a sensory proposal that reinvents olive oil tasting through an object designed to enhance aromas and flavours, where aesthetics, ritual and culture meet.
“Square Greens”: a hybrid system that combines a mini domestic garden with sproutable foods in biocellulose, bringing food production into everyday life in an accessible way.
