In-person event

A lecturer and two Interior Design graduates are taking part in Young Architecture Encounters, as part of the festival's programme in Sestao, running until 15 November

IED Kunsthal Bilbao is participating as an academic partner in the TAC! Festival of Urban Architecture, an initiative organised by the Spanish Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda and Fundación Arquia that promotes architectural experimentation and reflection on urban spaces. In its 2026 edition, the festival comes to Sestao with a temporary pavilion located next to Blast Furnace No. 1.

The school's participation in the Young Architecture Encounters section began on 16 October with a presentation entitled Ephemeral Architecture as Pedagogy, delivered by Diego Sologuren, architect and lecturer on the BA (Hons) in Interior Design. Drawing on projects developed by fourth-year students, he explored the role of construction and material experimentation in design education.
