From May 25 to 29, IED Madrid Gran Vía will host an exhibition presenting the project developed within the framework of the academic exchange between IED Madrid and Universidad Anáhuac Puebla, an initiative focused on the dialogue between design, culture, and textile tradition.
The exhibition stems from the teaching mobility programme carried out between Eva Maldonado from IED Madrid and Betsy Herrera, professor at Universidad Anáhuac Puebla, as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Throungh this experience, both institutions have fostered a space for exchange aimed at enriching fashion and textil design education from an international and collaborative perspective.
The project highlights the value of Mexican craftsmanship, as well as the importance of sharing knowledge, methodologies, and cultural references between different educational contexts. The exhibition reflects part of this process and shows how academic exchange can become a tool for expanding creative horizons and generating new connections between tradition and contemporaneity.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from May 25 to 29 at IED Madrid Gran Vía and is conceived as an invitation to discover the value of design as a meeting point between cultures, techniques, and ways of understanding contemporary creation.
