IED Madrid is hosting an exclusive screening of this documentary about the designer Miguel Adrover, followed by a discussion with its director and IED Alumni, Gonzalo Hergueta

On 9 April at 6.30 pm, IED Madrid Gran Vía will host an exclusive screening for the IED Madrid Community of the documentary The Designer is Dead, one day before its official release.

Directed by Gonzalo Hergueta, the documentary explores the life of fashion designer Miguel Adrover. Using previously unseen archive footage and key testimonies, it reconstructs his story from his meteoric rise on the New York scene — where he was acclaimed by figures such as Anna Wintour and awarded the CFDA Award —, to his gradual disappearance from the media spotlight following his controversial Utopia show.

Following the screening, there will be a discussion with the director, who is also an IED Madrid Alumni.

This documentary has been produced by Little Spain and distributed by Silencio Cinema, whom we thank for this opportunity for our community.

Admission to this screening is free, until full capacity is reached.

The documentary will be released in cinemas from 10 April.
