Aimed at service design professionals seeking to adapt to the changes driven by AI, automation and new working environments, on 14 October IED Barcelona will host two Satellite Workshops ahead of the international “Service Design Disrupted” conference, as part of Barcelona Design Week.
“Practising Human-Centred Design: From Personal Craft to Organisational Change” will explore human-centred design from two perspectives: the professional’s own practice and the organisation around them. Facilitated by Gerry Scullion, founder of The Human Centered Design Network and author of This is Human Centered Design, the session will run from 10 am to 5 pm.
Meanwhile, “From Maps to Management: Scaling Service Design with Journey Management” will focus on helping teams transform their journey maps into a dynamic information system that supports continuous decision-making. Marc Stickdorn, founder and CEO of Smaply and co-author of This is Service Design Thinking and This is Service Design Doing, will lead the workshop, which will run from 2.30 pm to 6 pm.
By addressing topics beyond the scope of the main conference, both workshops will complement the programme, offering participants the opportunity to broaden and deepen their knowledge of Service Design, UX/CX and Design Leadership.
