A project exploring public space, community and cultural production.

“Ascolto il tuo cuore, città” is a research and cultural production project developed in collaboration between Todo Modo, ETH Zürich and IED Florence, with the involvement of artist Rosa Barba and the dept. of Art in Space and Time.

The project brings together students from the First Level Academic Diploma in Visual Communication Design and Interior Design at IED Florence, ETH Zurich students and researchers in an exploration of the Campo di Marte neighborhood in Florence, starting from Periodico 11.11 — the regenerated kiosk in Piazza Edison, transformed into a local cultural space.

Through experimentation with radio, Risograph printing and interventions in public space, the project investigates new ways of listening to and narrating the city, while activating relationships between educational institutions, independent cultural organizations and local communities. The program will conclude on March 20 with a sound performance at the Periodico 11.11 kiosk and a public event at IED Florence (Via Bufalini 6/R), where the outcomes of the research and the prototypes developed by the students will be presented.
