IED will take part in the 14th Latin American IXEL MODA Congress in Barranquilla, reaffirming its commitment to ethical, sustainable, and intelligent fashion.

Since 2007, IXEL MODA has promoted the integration and strengthening of the Fashion System in Latin America, driving a path toward sustainability. Its goal is to disseminate fashion as a cultural expression, addressing it from all its dimensions:

  • The apparel industry
  • Textile, graphic, industrial, and spatial design
  • Crafts, gastronomy, and literature
  • The visual, performing, and audiovisual arts

Thanks to this vision, IXEL MODA has established itself as one of the leading promoters of ethical fashion in the region and has created the largest academic network in the sector, with more than 70 universities and schools affiliated with its Academic Council.

2025 Central Theme: Aesthetics, Ethics, and Intelligent Design
The central theme of the 2025 edition invites us to reflect on fashion from an aesthetic-ethical perspective. The approach seeks to "think about fashion" not only in terms of business dynamics or external factors, but also through dialogue with art, culture, tradition, creation, and technology

The key will be to highlight intelligent design and conscious uses, aligned with the values of sustainability and social responsibility.

IED Participation in IXEL MODA
During the congress, IED will have an informational booth where attendees can learn about:

  • The academic offerings at the spanish and italian campuses.
  • Information about scholarships and discounts.
  • Details on the admissions process.

This presence reaffirms IED's commitment to design training and to strengthening the international academic network linked to the world of fashion.
