The illustration also works as a “mascot-image” for the event across the different versions of application, depending on the audience

Giuditta Furlan and Irene Moreno, students of the Specialization Course in Graphic Design at IED Barcelona designed the image for the poster of the Italian Literature Festival FLIB 2024, which will be held from 17 to 27 October at the Jaume Fuster Library and other spaces in the Catalan capital.

Their proposal, a book-suitcase that symbolises traveling through literature, stood out to FLIB representatives due to its conceptualisation. The illustration can also be used as a “mascot-image” for the festival across the different versions of application depending on the audience to whom the programme activity is directed: main, junior and OFF.

As Design Partner of FLIB, IED Barcelona also counts various members of its community among the ranks of the festival, such as the teacher Cecilia Ricciarelli, who is in charge of the conception and artistic direction of the event, and Cristina Moretti, alumnus of the Postgraduate in Event Design and Management, current Project Manager of FLIB.

A bridge of dialogue between the cultures of the Mediterranean, FLIB is an international event of literature, art, music, poetry and theatre for all ages organised by the cultural association Le Nuvole and ONNI, in collaboration with Libraries of Barcelona and the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona. Forming part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, this year will see the third edition of the festival.
