El IED Barcelona acoge la International Poster Design Exhibition

Date

20 February 2024

The exhibition is part of the International Fine Arts, Printing and Sustainability Conference 2024 organised by the Graphic Design department of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, of which IED was the main Academic Sponsor

Almost a hundred graphic works by international artists addressing the issue of immigration and integration can be seen at the IED Barcelona Point Two facilities until 27 February.

The works make up the International Poster Design Exhibition organised by the Graphic Design department of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa and curated by Eric Olivares, a teacher at IED. The exhibition forms part of the programme of the International Fine Arts, Printing and Sustainability Conference 2024 (IFPSC) held in Barcelona on 15 and 16 February, of which IED was the main Academic Sponsor.

The opening of the exhibition, entitled Together: Immigration & Integration, was held on 15 February with the participation of eight IFPSC academics. During the event, the experts explained the work process that the artists used to create the 96 works on display, in addition to sharing lines of work and research with their colleagues and their vision of design training through various projects.

The talks also focused on the effects of culture on typography, the benefits of incorporating art into scientific disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) or the responsibility that comes with being design professionals.
