The Global Goals Jam is a two-day event were designers and creative develop their ideas towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals

Since 2018, IED Istituto Europeo di Design is the Italian partner of the Global Goals Jam, an international event created by the Amsterdam Digital Society School (DSS) with the help of United Nations Development Programme.

The initiative wants to address social challenges globally through collaboration with a two-day event to engage makers and designers to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals by creating short-term interventions with long-term impact.

The team will be created by designers and creative of the Design, Visual Arts, Fashion and Communication IED Courses, and will be joining jammers around the world, with 85 cities involved in local challenge, towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals set for 2030.

The IED design culture and methodology blends with the DSS methodology developing different tools to guide the design process and respond to the challenge presented. The theme for each Jam comes from an international subject proposed by the UN and its city adapts it to their specific needs.
