Eight creatives from the Italian campuses of the IED network take to the runway at BASE with their graduation collections.
IED Graduate Fashion Show opened the 2025 edition of Fashion Graduate Italia - Bridging Tribes, Building Dreams, organized by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda.
IED presented the best of from eight Fashion Design graduates from its Italian campuses — Milan, Cagliari, Florence, Rome, Turin, and the Aldo Galli Academy in Como. A collective showcase expressing the full creative and design potential of a School that, in 2025, was recognized among the 20 best fashion schools in the world, ranking 16th in the prestigious CeoWorld Magazine ranking.
On the runway, a multifaceted scenography of visual languages, textures, fabrics, and color combinations brought the IED Graduate Fashion Show experience to life. Men's, women's, and genderless capsule collections alternated, offering a snapshot of the current state of fashion — a personal interpretation of the contemporary world, filtered through the changes that shape every individual’s life. The projects explore current cultures and influences; the looks reflect urgent themes such as climate change, which drives the creation of sustainable and functional solutions through modular garments capable of adapting to changing climates, or distorted affection when linked to dynamics of abuse and control. Other projects delve into the ancestral theme of the human being as a primordial opposition between form and essence, where the body becomes a transforming surface, ready to embrace deconstructed and fluid garments.
“Fashion Graduate Italia represents, year after year, a 360-degree perspective on the new lifeblood that nourishes and regenerates the languages of fashion — a moment when research restores depth and breadth to the creative act,” said Danilo Venturi, Director of IED Milan and Vice President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda. “For IED, it is an opportunity to showcase not only the talent of its graduates, but also the ability of young people to express a vision — to build bridges between disciplines, cultures, and different sensitivities. It is from this intertwining that the future of the fashion system can emerge.”
The eight fashion designers presented their capsule collections as expressions of the creative talent of the entire IED international Fashion School network. Tag and share:
