On July 14th, a panel discussion from Photography to Curatorship to Strategic Foresight with Rita Lino, Dobrila Denegri, Kaat Debo and Lizzy Bowring, moderated by Danilo Venturi.
IED Milano welcomes its community and the public to the second panl discussion of the series IED Tomorrow on topics linked to creativity and design. Focus of the conversation is the construction of imagery and imagination in contemporary fashion — from upstream practices like trend forecasting to downstream processes, such as curatorship, where visual languages are interpreted, challenged, or reaffirmed.
With professionals and IED Master’s coordinator and mentors as Rita Lino (artist and photographer), Dobrila Denegri (fashion curator), Kaat Debo (fashion curator and director of MoMu Antwerp) and Lizzy Bowring (strategic foresight expert) the talk explores the evolving intersections between aesthetics, meaning, and brand image. Moderated by Danilo Venturi, director of IED Milano, the event reflects how IED’s educational approach remains in constant dialogue with the cultural and creative transformations of our time.
"As art and business converge, brand identity becomes curatorship: a narrative practice, dense with layered significance. And yet, the future is never truly detached from the past. Vasari already showed us how Renaissance artists balanced vision with pragmatism. Today, like then, creative identities emerge within syncretic, ever-changing contexts — polyphonic cities, fluid affiliations, and hybrid imaginaries" Venturi comments.
