The lecture is aimed to demonstrate the connection between Design, Fashion and Visual Arts and a cross disciplinary approach IED offers to students.
As Ellen Summerfield states in his book Crossing Cultures through Film (1993), “film helps to create a unique environment for cross-cultural learning because it speaks to our emotions as well as our intellect. “
In the context of the Cross Cultural Workshop, we will look at the relationship of facts and the filmmakers personal perception, when depicting the experiences made, the Kazakh culture and producing a relevant and captivating film.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place right after the lecture!
Special guest and co-lecturer - Vlad Sludskiy, Curator and art consultant.
