IED talent has once again taken centre stage at Spain's most prestigious fashion event, earning three awards: Ernesto Naranjo and ManéMané received the award for Best Presentation: New Formats, while Juan Vidal was honoured with the award for Best Runway Presentation

On 30 June, the Spanish fashion industry celebrated its biggest night of the year with the third edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards, held at the Gran Teatro Príncipe Pío in Madrid. Organised by the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation (FAME) and RTVE, the awards recognise excellence, creativity and diversity across Spain's fashion industry.

Once again, IED talent played a leading role at the ceremony. Of the eight nominations received by alumni and faculty members from IED Madrid and IED Barcelona, two became award-winning projects (one of them collaborative work), further reinforcing IED's position as a leading institution in the education of some of Spain's most outstanding fashion designers.

Two Awards for IED Talent

IED Barcelona creative director of the fashion school, Juan Vidal received the Best Runway Presentation award for the staging of his collection "Me quiere, no me quiere", adding yet another distinction to a career recognised with some of the most prestigious honours in Spanish fashion.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Naranjo, IED Madrid alumni and faculty member, together with Miguel Becer, founder of the fashion label ManéMané and faculty member at IED Madrid, received the Best Presentation: New Formats award for their collaborative project "Naranjo + ManéMané". The project was recognised for exploring new ways of presenting and communicating fashion through creativity and experimentation.

These awards come in a year in which IED was represented across eight dessigners in five different categories thanks to nominations for Juan Vidal, Ernesto Naranjo, ManéMané, Carlota Barrera, Luis Berrendero, Moisés Nieto, Sepiia and Eñaut, once again highlighting the strength and influence of its creative community within the industry.

IED Talent Continues to Shape the Future of Spanish Fashion

The Spanish Fashion Academy Awards have become one of the industry's leading recognitions. In this third edition, the success of Ernesto Naranjo, ManéMané and Juan Vidal once again demostrates IED´s ability to nurture careers that are helping redefine the Spanish fashion landscape through innovation, creative excellence and international projection.

Having started the competition with eight nominations across five categories, IED talent concludes this third edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards with three award-winning designers, once again confirming the institution's role as a benchmark in educating the professionals shaping the future of Spanish fashion.

Congratulations to all the winners!
