The session was facilitated by four Master in Strategic Design Management Alumni: Giulia Nidasio, Head of Product Management at Wallapop; Carmo Requejo, Head of Nacar Health; Rafael Pérez, Principal for Nacar LATAM; and Maria Buitrago, Senior Service & Customer Experience Designer at Zurich

On 21 October, to mark 20 editions of the Master in Strategic Design Management and as part of Barcelona Design Week, IED Barcelona brought together alumni, professionals, innovation leaders, students and experts in Strategic Design Management for “Strategic Design Clinic: What we need to disrupt the future”. A collaborative experience in which they tackled real-world challenges through strategic thinking and design.

The session was facilitated by Giulia Nidasio, Head of Product Management at Wallapop; Carmo Requejo, Head of Nacar Health; Rafael Pérez, Principal for Nacar LATAM; and Maria Buitrago, Senior Service & Customer Experience Designer at Zurich, all of whom completed the Master’s programme in different years.

Over two hours, participants worked in groups on real strategic, business and organisational challenges put forward by attendees themselves. The session provided an opportunity to explore how Strategic Design Management helps connect vision, innovation, business, technology and human experience to address contemporary challenges.
