Dos alumni de Artes Visuales del IED Barcelona, ponentes en Brut!

Date

18 October 2023

9 design schools took part in the event, with 21 projects from students of graphic design and other creative disciplines

After graduating last June in Graphic Design and Motion Graphics and Video, respectively, the careers of IED Barcelona alumni Varvara Godovikova and Thinh Truong have continued to gain momentum. Both were part of the team of student speakers at Brut!, a design event promoting young talent and creativity that took place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona on 5 and 6 October.

Godovikova presented her final thesis there, a proposal for a new brand identity for the Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc that combines tradition and avant-garde. The project’s main concept is based on a custom font that acts as a container for the history of Sant Lluc, providing it with a modern look.

For his part, Truong explained to the audience about the development of “Unwoven Memories”, an innovative work that translates the memories of objects from Colonia Güell into a new form of language with a coded fabric, allowing the city to weave its own history once again.

The young designer has also been chosen to present the project at the Blanc festival on Saturday, 21 October at 10.40 am in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona).

Congratulations to both of you!
