Students from the BA in Visual Communication Design and Illustration at IED Firenze developed a series of advertising posters for the Oasi WWF Stagni di Focognano, responding to a brief proposed by the Committee for WWF Oases in the Florence Area.
The project aimed to raise awareness of a place of significant natural, scientific and educational value that is still relatively unknown to the public. Located just a few kilometres from the city, the Oasis encompasses ponds, wetlands and habitats designed to support and protect the biodiversity of the Florentine plain.
Through photography, illustration and visual communication, the students interpreted the concept “Nature where you least expect it”, exploring the contrast between the urban landscape and the natural richness hidden within the local area.
