The game explores the theme of escaping from the outside world to seek refuge in a comfort zone represented by a surreal dimension, highlighting the importance of finding a balance between reality and imagination.

Onirico is an online cooperative video game set in the surreal world of dreams, inspired by the Dreamcore aesthetic. Players find themselves trapped in a dimension populated by bizarre creatures, threatened by a series of punishing entities. Their goal is to complete the dream and return to reality.

The game explores the theme of escapism from the outside world into a comfort zone represented by a surreal dimension, highlighting the importance of finding a balance between reality and imagination.

The game’s visual identity draws inspiration from Dreamcore: surreal, melancholic, and unsettling atmospheres that evoke the feeling of a confused and indecipherable dream.

The thesis project also includes the development of several creative areas, such as aesthetic research, artistic and graphic direction, illustration, and the animation of characters and other in-game elements.

The project also involves a marketing and communication strategy through social media, trailers, promotional materials, and the exploration of strong, recognizable trends aimed at a broad audience ranging from 10 to 30 years old.
