In the Introduction to Interior Design you’ll discover what goes into the interior design creative process and learn to develop proposals that balance both form and function. You’ll learn to use fundamental graphic representation tools and acquire notions on user experience, accessibility and sustainability in spatial design. What’s more, you’ll learn key information about visual merchandising and how to create environments that communicate the identity of a brand.

With a dynamic and accessible approach, in this course you can apply your newfound know-how in practical exercises and projects, designing commercial, hotel and work spaces. This course, with its focus on creativity and critical thinking, gives you theoretical and practical experience with the most effective research tools used in the field of contemporary interior design.

The course is structured in three key project learning areas: The Basics and Strategy of Design, Representation Tools, the Spatial Workshop. Each of these areas integrates specific and transversal subjects to give you a complete vision of contemporary design. You can apply the know-how you’ve acquired in three practical projects to consolidate the learning process.

The course is for people interested in interior design looking for an introductory course, either with no previous experience or people who want to explore this discipline before committing to more advanced studies in the future.
