Isabel Urbano, Director of the Master's and Continuing Education Area at IED Kunsthal Bilbao, will give a series of workshops and conferences with our partners in Peru.
In the week of November 7th to 11th, IED will participate in Lima Design Week 2022 and will also visit some of the most renowned and outstanding universities in the country that offer programs related to the creative industries sector.
The conference given by Isabel Urbano - Director of the Master's and Continuing Education Area at IED Kunsthal Bilbao - will be about:
"Designing with Soul"
As a society, we are experiencing one of the most uncertain moments of this era, which has helped us to be more aware of the importance of the place we inhabit.
We are beings with consciousness and the ability to feel emotions. Joy, sadness, anger, illusion, or fear emerge in our lives and the discipline of design allows us to know very well the needs and alternatives to create "spaces, objects, and projects with a soul", that communicate and transmit emotions. Design also offers us the opportunity to face and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of sustainable development and social change, from a humanistic, innovative, and sustainable perspective. Maybe in a park, in a hospital waiting room, in the office or at school, perhaps at home, maybe in your shoes…¿Can we find an opportunity to design with soul? The value of design begins to find a voice in:
· Design the environment to live better: spaces with a soul
· Design for the planet: fashion and sustainable food
· Design as an instrument to educate: design skills
In addition, all those participants who are interested in being part of IED will have the opportunity to learn about its academic offer in Spain and Italy. They will also be able to ask questions related to study plans, costs, scholarships, admission requirements, discounts, promotions, etc. since they will have the opportunity to do so with our representatives during the conference.
