Monday, 14 September will mark the start of the 2026–2027 academic year for IED Barcelona’s undergraduate programmes.
At 5 pm, a welcome event will be held for first-year students of the Bachelor’s Degrees in Design, the BA (Hons) Degrees and IED Diplomas. Raffaella Perrone, Director of IED Barcelona, will address the students and introduce them to the Heads of the centre’s different schools (Visual Arts, Design, Fashion and Communication), as well as to the new spaces on campus.
The event will also feature a current student and an alumnus, who will share their experience of studying at IED and being part of its alumni network with the new students.
Later, at 7 pm, students from all years at the Barcelona campus, together with teaching staff and staff, will join the celebration to toast together.
From the following day until 18 September, four days of workshops and activities will give students an initial introduction to the school’s labs and services, as well as to the city of Barcelona.
