On 1, 2 and 5 October, welcome activities will be held for students joining the Master’s and Postgraduate programmes in the October intake, as well as those on the Foundation programmes.
The welcome programme will be spread across three days according to the course students are enrolled on:
Thursday, 1 October – 6.30 pm: Welcome Workshop D4TM
On Thursday, 1 October at 6.30 pm, the Welcome Workshop “Designing for the Many” will take place for students on the following courses:
- Master in Fashion Marketing and Communication
- Master in Fashion Design
- Master in Interior Design for Hotels, Gastronomic and Commercial Spaces
- Master in Strategic and Creative Brand Communication Management
- Master in Fashion Creative Direction
- Master in Fashion Business Innovation
Friday, 2 October – 6.30 pm: Welcome Talk
The following day, Friday, 2 October, also at 6.30 pm, students on the Postgraduate Programme in Wedding and Ceremony Dresses Design and the Postgraduate in Fashion Product Management will join their fellow Master’s students for a welcome session featuring remarks by Raffaella Perrone, Director of IED Barcelona, and Marina Ojan, Head of Master School, as well as an inspiring talk by Thais Ruiz de Alda, a technologist specialising in data science from a gender perspective and Digital Founder & Tech Expert at DigitalFems.
Monday, 5 October – 3.30 pm
Students on the Foundation in Fashion Design and Foundation in Global Design courses will attend their welcome session, led by the school’s management team and programme leaders, on 5 October at 3.30 pm. Afterwards, they will continue with their Welcome Week activities, designed to give them an in-depth introduction to their programme and the school, while helping them build a sense of community from day one.
