She Makes Noise x Taiwan comes to IED Madrid alongside the presentation of Abono 04

On 5 October, IED Madrid will host a She Makes Noise x Taiwan event featuring artists Sabiwa and Sonia Calico, who will share their experience with students during a workshop. At the same time, Abono 04 will be presented.
On 5 October, IED Madrid will host a special She Makes Noise x Taiwan event featuring artists Sabiwa and Sonia Calico. Both artists will share their creative processes and experience as music producers, digital artists and cultural organisers with students from the school.
PROGRAMME
The day will begin with two workshops for IED Madrid students, conceived as spaces for learning and exchange around contemporary creation and club culture.
From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sonia Calico will lead “Notes on Curating in Club Culture”, a session exploring the key aspects of programming and cultural management within the music scene.
Then, from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m., Sabiwa will take over with “Visual Environments for Sonic Experiences”, a workshop focusing on the relationship between sound, image and audiovisual experimentation.
From 8:15 p.m., the event will open to the public with a showcase by Sabiwa and Sonia Calico, bringing their respective practices in visuals and DJing to the stage to explore the connections between music, image and club culture.
The event will also feature the presentation of Abono.04, the fifth publication from the editorial platform led by IED Madrid’s School of Visual Arts. The presentation will take place from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. and will become a meeting point for the artists, students and the IED community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a draw to win copies of Abono.04.
