Gildo Medina is a multidisciplinary artist and designer involved in different cultural and artistic projects around the globe. He often collaborates with different cultural institutions, embassies and luxury brands, including Ferragamo, Moncler, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, among others.

During the lasts year he has focused on developing new work inspired by the eyes of different people from around the world who, in turn, have inspired him to create art.

In 2016, he came to IED to study a masters in Arts Management at IED Firenze. The Mexican-born artist has lived and work in Pris, Madrid, Rome, Florence, New York and, of course, Mexico City.

Medina has exhibited in museums, galleries and art fairs around the world, including the International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC), Maison et Objet, and the Cultural Institute of Mexico in Paris, the Casa de América in Madrid, Pinta Fair in Miami and in London, Design District in Dubai, MACO, and the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City.

“My experience at IED has given me the opportunity to learn, understand, enjoy and practice this philosophy both in my career as an artist and in the way I live my life as a human being.  IED has helped me to open doors to work with some of the most prominent luxury brands around the world”, explains.
