IED joins Italian Tech Week 2025 with two events exploring the dialogue between design and technology
From October 1 to 3, 2025, OGR Torino will host the fifth edition of Italian Tech Week, the most important Italian event dedicated to technological innovation. Over 15,000 participants, 70 masterclasses, and 180 international speakers will bring three days of discussions, debates, and experiences centered on the future.
This year’s theme, “The Wave Ahead”, is an invitation to look forward and anticipate the transformations that will change the way we live, move, and communicate.
In this context, IED will contribute with two events dedicated to the dialogue between design and technology, exploring how creative disciplines can help shape the challenges of tomorrow.
October 2, 12:00 PM
OGR Torino (Corso Castelfidardo 22)
The future of mobility is no longer just about vehicles, but about truly intelligent, connected environments capable of seamlessly integrating digital and physical experiences. Users expect comfort, personalization, and continuity, yet design tools and processes are not always keeping up. Enabling faster, human-centred innovation requires a shift in perspective: seeing mobility design as a holistic, cross-disciplinary, ecosystem-oriented practice that redefines how we move in tomorrow’s world.
Leading this conversation will be Lowie Vermeersch, Founder and Creative Director at Granstudio, and Wouter Haspeslagh, Chief Mobility Designer at Granstudio—both coordinators of the Master in Mobility Design at IED Torino.
October 2, 6:00 PM
Tech Villa (Villa San Quirico, Via Campana 37)
The second event will be led by Andrea Pinchi, Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Interaction Design at IED Torino. Join him for a journey into the future of human–machine interaction: discover how interfaces are becoming increasingly invisible yet intuitive, and how intelligent systems capable of making autonomous decisions are reshaping the way we relate to technology.
What does it mean to communicate with systems that we barely notice? And how will we consciously manage delegation to machines? Whether you are a student, a technology enthusiast, or a design professional, this talk will inspire you to rethink tools, practices, and future opportunities for new talents, highlighting creativity as the essential driver of innovation.
