IED alumnus Manik Sharma has won the ASI Grifo d’Oro Competition, an international award promoted by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano and dedicated to designers under 30.
The competition challenged young designers from around the world to develop a realistic vehicle concept, balancing creativity with technical constraints. Out of more than 130 projects, a professional jury selected five finalists, awarding first prize to Manik.
His winning project focuses on urban mobility, rethinking space, accessibility, and everyday usability. The design combines a compact structure with smart access solutions, responding to the needs of contemporary cities and real users.
The award ceremony was held in Turin, at ASI headquarters in Villa Rey, bringing together representatives from institutions, design schools, and the automotive sector.
