The fourth edition of the Videocittà Awards is coming to Rome on December 14th, celebrating the best in digital and audiovisual art. The ceremony will take place at Palazzo dei Congressi.

The Videocittà Awards 2024, dedicated to celebrating the best in digital art and audiovisual innovation, will take place in Rome on December 14th at the Palazzo dei Congressi. The event will be hosted by art critic and journalist Nicolas Ballario, alongside content creator Momoka Banana. The awards will honor the most innovative projects and talented professionals in the industry across five categories: Creators, Immersive Experience, AV Performance, Video Art and Next.

This year, the event benefitted from the collaboration of nine students from IED’s International Master in Arts Management, who assisted in all stages of the event’s planning and execution. From designing the event format to engaging and coordinating the jurors, managing the production schedule, and overseeing logistics, the students were deeply involved in the creation of the awards ceremony. They will also support the Videocittà team with stage management and coordination during the event.

Gioacchino Salierno, an IED Interior Design graduate and current student in the Master’s degree program in Design for Public Spaces, also contributed to the design of the five awards to be presented during the evening.

The Videocittà Awards 2024 are organized by Videocittà, the festival founded by Francesco Rutelli with creative direction by Francesco Dobrovich.

One of the evening's highlights will be the immersive audiovisual live performance "SHIRO" by the creative duo Nonotak. Founded in 2011 by visual artist Noemi Schipfer and sound and light artist Takami Nakamoto, Nonotak presents a performance that merges shadows, light, and techno music across four semi-transparent screens and the artists’ own bodies. The result is a truly unique sensory experience, combining visual and auditory elements in a dreamlike journey. The evening will conclude with an exclusive DJ set by Efee.
