The BA Jewelry Design course at IED Milano takes center stage at Formnext, the leading international trade fair dedicated to 3D printing technologies.
In Frankfurt, from 8 to 21 November, the international fair dedicated to 3D printing technologies took place, featuring the participation of students from the Jewelry Design course at IED Milano. Their presence was made possible thanks to an educational project developed in collaboration with Legor Group, Pianeta Gemme, and Leather & Luxury Magazine.
Second-year students presented a capsule collection of 10 jewelry pieces designed for the 3D Metal Binder Jet technology, based on steel sintering, and produced with the technical support of Legor. The pieces are enriched with hard stones and synthetic pastes supplied by Pianeta Gemme, highlighting the dialogue between innovation and traditional craftsmanship.
The jewelry pieces are displayed to the public at the Legor booth within the fair, serving as a concrete example of collaboration between an educational institution and leading companies in the industry.
