TypoLAB, de Gonzalo Muñoz, finalista en los LADAWARDS 2026

Date

27 May 2026

Gonzalo Muñoz, a Graphic Design undergraduate student at IED Madrid, has been selected for the shortlist of the 2026 Latin American Design Awards. This latest recognition adds to an outstanding recent track record that includes an award at the Young Ones Student Awards and a finalist placement at Brut! Madrid.

The TypoLAB project continues to strengthen its international presence. The proposal has been selected as a finalist in the LADAWARDS 2026, one of the leading competitions celebrating creativity and visual arts across Latin America.

TypoLAB explores type design as an open space for learning, research and knowledge sharing. Through a digital platform, it transforms academic projects into accessible resources for a broader creative community, encouraging knowledge exchange and experimentation around typography.

This new recognition follows a series of recent achievements for the project. On May 11, TypoLAB received a Student Merit Award at the Young Ones Student Awards in the Communication Design: Digital / Technology – Website / Microsite category.

In addition, TypoLAB was selected as a finalist at Brut! Madrid, alongside Abono 03, another project developed by students from the School of Visual Arts at IED Madrid.

With its selection in the LADAWARDS 2026, TypoLAB adds another milestone to a journey that highlights the quality, relevance and international impact of the projects developed by IED Madrid students.

Congratulations, Gonzalo!
