With Xabier Iriondo, sound is reinvented: students dive into the art of creation

As part of Milan Music Week 2024, IED Milan presented the cross-disciplinary project "Building Musical Instruments."
The students from the Bachelor's programs in Product Design and Sound Design participated in a one-day workshop during which they designed new tools for sound creation and processing.
After an initial research phase, they were supported by an in-depth pitch delivered by Xabier Iriondo and guided during the workshop by Giorgio Sancristoforo.
During the workshop, the students designed new instruments and created initial prototypes, which were later refined in two follow-up sessions.
The pitch took place on November 22, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, in Room S10, with Xabier Iriondo.
The workshop was held on November 23, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in Room S102, under the guidance of Giorgio Sancristoforo.
