Alumnus Italo Marseglia at Feeric Fashion Week

In occasion of the upcoming Feeric Fashion Week in Sibiu – July 17/22 – IED is proud to participate showing two collections created by three of its Alumni from Rome and Barcelona Fashion Schools.

The collection “Nigredo”, designed by Italo Marseglia, is about female bodies snuggled into fine drapes, is a journey through space and time from damned french poetries to the Italian great ateliers. The designer graduated in IED Roma in 2012 and now running his own brand. The collection shows his passion for structured, perfectly tailored garments and it plays with just one colour – black – and textures that enrich the ensemble creating balance between fullness and emptiness. Italo deals with an innovative method based on mathematical concepts applied to the structure of the garments: the collection is aMarseglia tells stories of strong and independent women who claim their femininity just whispering it.

“Negativity” by Z1, a brand created by Matteo de Meo and Beatriz Ferrer from IED Barcelona, is a unisex womenswear and menswear collection that combines the traditions and styles of street-wear with an accurate analysis of contemporary trends. The brand’s mission is to create a contemporary and innovative street-wear that detaches from fashion waste and offers high-quality products with a smart use of patter-making, fabrics and fine detailing.
