Uncover and effectively communicate the potential of future fashion trends through hands-on market research and data visualization tools.

Channel your inner visionary and cultivate your passion for fashion in the city of Milan, home to some of the most prestigious fashion houses and brands.

Understand and investigate the innovation drivers of today’s society and transform them into a trend forecasting strategy.
The Master in Fashion Trend Forecasting combines research and practice to simulate the realities of the fashion industry through a project-based approach.

Students will analyze the market and study the most important trend forecasting processes through relevant case histories and workshops. Students will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Milanese fashion scene, the right place to learn and experience the real-world expectations and needs of the fashion system.

Information to decide

Cultivate your creative and analytical skills through a course that balances research tools and theory with practical applications on how to predict future fashion trends.

The Master in Fashion Trend Forecasting is founded on a theoretical-cultural approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative research techniques, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the fashion industry, its links to related creative fields, market demand, and consumption habits.

Students will learn to effectively express their ideas and communicate their research findings, creating convincing and visually compelling presentations capable of directing important business decisions in a sector with increasingly complex dynamics.

The course’s final project will see students developing a professional trend book for a real partner company using their acquired analytical and perceptual skills to satisfy the assigned brief.

Considering the wide range of cultural, numerical, and visual aspects of a trend, this Master is open to all students interested in entering the world of fashion, with a passion for novelty as a common denominator. The course has been designed to prepare students for careers in Trend Forecasting, Cool Hunting, Trend Analysis or Research Development roles. The skills and competencies acquired in this program may also be fundamental if students wish to consider a career as a so-called Futurologist or if they are willing to consider job positions in the consultancy industry.

The purpose of this course is to provide visionary thinking and innovation by bringing together different areas such as fashion, society, art, music, and lifestyle in order to provide an in-depth analysis of current market size and trends.

As a means of maximizing the effectiveness of fashion materials for business improvement, you will learn some of the most state-of-the-art and most powerful visual techniques, strategies and practices.
You will also be able to improve your forecasting and data analysis skills as you become more familiar with trends and target market behavior patterns. In addition, you will explore how to use professional market intelligence and research tools for making your own product - or that of a customer - more focused and tuned for success.

The main software you will need during your course is provided by IED!

On this page you will find all the features you need for your computer.
