Explore the world of video and tell your stories
Would you like to turn your ideas into original and engaging videos?
IED Roma offers a course dedicated to 12 to 15 year olds, where they will get the chance to explore the language of cinema and learn video editing techniques. A hands-on workshop that will enable you to create video content from A to Z. From conception to post-production, you will learn how to write scripts, shoot with smartphones and edit videos with intuitive tools such as CapCut.
You will approach the languages, techniques and formats of cinema and social media, with a focus on fields, planes and framing for agile shooting with smartphones. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to experience the creative process in IED Roma's video workshop.
A unique opportunity to learn how to express your vision of the world through moving images, developing creative content optimised for publication on social media.
Information to decide
Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings and will follow a path covering all the stages of video production:
- Conceptualisation: How to develop a creative idea and turn it into a script;
- Filming: Insight into fields, planes and framing for effective filming using a smartphone;
- Editing: Use of intuitive software such as CapCut to edit videos;
- Publication: Tips for optimising video content for social media, avoiding common mistakes.
The experience will culminate in the creation of a complete video project, putting into practice the skills learnt during the course.
The course is designed for 12 to 15 year olds who are passionate about video and filmmaking and keen to explore filmmaking and video editing.
