For the third consecutive year, students from the Official Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at IED Kunsthal Bilbao strengthen their role in Fashion Revolution Week Euskadi with a prominent participation in this week dedicated to promoting a more sustainable and responsible fashion industry, organized by the international movement Fashion Revolution.

“Material Revolution” Exhibition

  • Dates: April 20–26
  • Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Location: Sala BBK, Bilbao

An exhibition focused on the experimentation with new materials and upcycling applied to fashion.

IED Kunsthal students present material research projects, with a particular focus on the development of biomaterials (bioplastics, organic textiles, coatings) and the creation of their own material library.

As part of the process, prototypes are also showcased, developed under the challenge of designing T-shirts based on maximum sustainability criteria, exploring environmental impact, circularity, and innovative textile solutions.

TALKAK Upcycling Collection Runway Show

  • Date: April 24
  • Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Location: Sala BBK, Bilbao

The TALKAK upcycling collection, developed by third-year students, features garments created from recovered clothing. This project has been made possible thanks to the collaboration with Koopera, which provided the garments used as the basis for these new designs.

The runway show highlights a more conscious approach to fashion, exploring new design possibilities through the reuse of existing resources.
