One of the most sophisticated actors on the Italian scene, Giannini shared his journey in the world of cinema, which began with his first role as an assistant director before he moved on to acting and voice acting, while also embracing experiences in theater and television. The event offered an opportunity to explore his approach to character development, as well as his relationship with the camera and with the directors he worked with — from Gabriele Muccino to Paolo Sorrentino, from Ridley Scott to Francesca Archibugi.
This meeting continued IED Cinema’s commitment to providing cross-disciplinary training across all professions within the film and television production chain, with a focus on the actor’s role — which will also be at the core of the Master’s in Creating Cinema, starting in February 2026.
Open to students, professionals, and cinema enthusiasts, the event aimed to reflect on how the actor, through their own sensitivity and curiosity, became both an interpreter and a storyteller of cinematic vision.
