Monograph, the series of talks featuring professionals and key figures from the creative industry. New appointment with Formafantasma

Formafantasma is a research-based design studio investigating the ecological, historical, political and social forces shaping the discipline of design today. Whether designing for a client or developing self – initiated projects, the studio applies the same rigorous attention to context, processes and details. Formafantasma’s analytical nature translates in meticulous visual outcomes, products and strategies.

On the occasion of the exhibition Eccentrica. Le collezioni del Centro Pecci, IED Firenze community met the two designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin in an exclusive talk for the Monograph series. 

The students discussed with the designers the sustainability and accessibility criteria of the exhibition; furthermore, they explored how the environment was enhanced to make the experience of living at the Centro Pecci even more special, allowing them to discover Prato and learn about contemporary art from the post-war period to the present day.

The students were able to ask questions about the lighting choices that made the artworks more readable moreover, the enhancement of the artistic experience within an iconic architectural space.
