Two projects by IED Madrid have been selected as one of the 10 international finalists in the Accor Design Awards 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious interior design competitions.
For the second year running, two projects have reached this grand final, in which interior design training centres from all over the world are taking part.
The four students from Interior Design Degree Programme at IED Madrid who have reached the final of Accor Design Awards 2026 have done so with their projects Sense of Dubai, by Ana Cristina Lara Sanabria y Camilla Lari Prado, and Akar Bandar, by Tamara Foinquinos Gonzales and Víctor Clemente Pablos.
This year’s theme was “reimagining a modular and flexible space for meetings and events for the iconic Pullman brand, designed to foster a continuous cycle of creativity, connection and collaboration”.
Although the jury has already selected the three main winners, the public can also have their say by voting for the project that will receive the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced on 4 September.

This prestigious competition, organised by the Accor Group in partnership with WWF and Novotel Hotels, aims to promote innovative ideas that contribute to the future of hotel design.
The four students who have reached this final with their two projects underscore the role of young Spanish talent—and, more specifically, of IED Madrid—on the global design stage.
Let’s all come together to support our students and their projects!
