IED Milan Project: Fashion Design

This project by Valeria Nicoletti is a quest to bring out beauty in the places and things that seem to promise none, in that which holds a yet unrevealed secret: the promise of a beauty that is in harmony with our surroundings is the main focus around which the entire collection revolves

The new designer investigates the hidden structures of a dress to create new declinations. By experimenting with BACTERIA PRINT, the link is created between biotechnology and design, between science and art, and the invisible becomes visible: non-pathogenic, earth bacteria paint the natural fabrics of the collection, creating free and creative nuances. Nature is no longer an object to be printed, but an active subject. It is nature itself that colours the fabrics.
