The principles of ethics, integrity and transparency form the cornerstone of IED’s management model. They provide the foundation for building trust with all stakeholders and for generating economic value in a responsible manner.
To translate these values into concrete action, on 1 July 2022 IED S.B.p.A became a Benefit Corporation, identifying four Common Benefit objectives pursued alongside its profit goals. Through this commitment, IED seeks to generate positive impacts on society and the environment, which are reported annually through its Impact Report.
In addition, IED has implemented a robust Governance system, centred on its Code of Ethics, the Organisational, Management and Control Model (MOG 231), and a dedicated whistleblowing channel, enabling the secure and confidential reporting of non-compliant conduct and potential ethical risks. This framework is supported by a set of ISO certifications, reflecting IED’s commitment to Quality and to reducing its environmental impact.

Alongside the instruments typical of corporate management, Governance also extends to the educational sphere, ensuring consistency between institutional values and educational practices.
Below are some of the initiatives implemented during the 2024/2025 academic year in response to the objectives set out in the 2023/24 Impact Report.
Support in addressing housing-related challenges
SDG 11 sustainable cities and communities
Each IED campus provides a housing support service through a network of trusted and vetted partners, including agreements with specialised online platforms and a range of student accommodation providers. These partners offer IED students preferential conditions and dedicated assistance.
To strengthen and expand the service, during the 2024/25 academic year the objective was to convert existing collaborations into long-term agreements and broaden the range of accommodation options through the establishment of new strategic partnerships.

Transparency and Cybersecurity

With a focus on transparency, compliance and efficiency, IED has undertaken a digital transformation process involving both its educational activities and its broader organisational operations. A key milestone in this evolution was the adoption of the Campus Management System (CMS) Esse3, developed by a public university consortium and therefore continuously updated to reflect changes in regulations issued by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). This was followed by the creation of a comprehensive digital ecosystem encompassing all functions and stages of the educational journey, enabling greater information transparency and more accessible, user-friendly access to systems for all users, including students.
In addition, throughout 2024/2025 IED made significant investments in Cyber Security to strengthen its information security framework. These actions focused on the protection of accounts, endpoints and email systems, with the ultimate aim of safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of data across the entire IED community.

The Industry Engagement, Career & Alumni division supports the professional development of students and graduates through a network of companies and professionals that creates concrete career opportunities. This strategy delivered excellent results in the 2024/25 academic year, with an average placement rate in Italy of 92% for Undergraduate programmes and 93% for Master's programmes.
