Andrea Marchesi, Director of IED Barcelona, and Francisco Durán, Transport Manager at AKZONOBEL, will present the final result of Art Container on Sunday, October 15 at 12 pm as part of the 61th Barcelona International Boat Show. The event will take place at the Àgora Port tent in the Port de Barcelona, located in Plaça del Portal de la Pau.
Art Container is an installation created by the Istituto Europeo di Design to demonstrate how design as an art form for communication and products can help to develop engagement strategies. The Art Container on display is a canvas for IED Barcelona students to promote citizen participation and link the city and the sea with issues such as the America’s Cup and the Blue Economy.
In collaboration with AzkoNobel, Port of Barcelona and Fundació Capital Nàutica.
The exhibition of the creation processes from the Òh!pera project, which includes IED Barcelona’s piece 'In the Beginning Everything was White', will officially open at the Disseny Hub Barcelona on 10 October at 6.30 pm as part of Barcelona Design Week.
3rd year Interior Design students are participating in a new edition of this innovative commerce campaign in the city that uses design and lighting for two shop window projects.
The installation, created by students from Interior Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, and Motion Graphics and Video at IED Barcelona for the last edition of Llum BCN, will be on display at the French city’s Fête des Lumières festival from 7 to 10 December.
