How can we extend artificial light from habitat spaces to city spaces taking into account sustainability criteria, and without sacrificing art in the design?

On the occasion of Italian Design Day, which this year addresses the theme "quality that illuminates", the round table "Light and Energy: Habitat and city" will take place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona Auditorium on 9 March at 6.30 pm.

A panel of experts that includes the participation of IED Barcelona will discuss the challenges of extending artificial light from habitat spaces to city spaces, taking into account sustainability criteria, and without sacrificing art in the design.

Following the welcome words by representatives of the related institutions, including Emanuele Manzitti, Consul General of Italy in Barcelona, the round table will begin. It will be moderated by Michela Mezzavilla, Architect, Lighting Designer, Co-Founder of MMAS and Teacher at IED Barcelona.

The invited speakers are Marcello Arosio, Art Director of AreaOdeon and Kernel Festival; Juan Garrigosa, Head of B2G at Endesa (Enel); Maria Güell Ordis, Lighting Designer, Founder of La Invisible Studio and Artistic Director of LLUMBCN; and Maurici Ginés, Lighting Designer and Founder of Artec Studi.
