The Ágora at IED Kunsthal Bilbao hosted a new session of IED MUSES Talks, further establishing this series as a meeting point for key figures in the contemporary creative landscape. On this occasion, the guest was Albert Folch, creative director and visual designer, who shared his career journey and vision with the audience.
With over 20 years of experience, Folch reflected on his professional path, from founding Folch Studio to developing projects such as Apartamento Magazine and Gallery Sessions, also անդր addressing his recent transition into a new phase as an independent creative director.
The session opened with a talk by Isabel Fernández, a Bilbao-based sound designer and producer, whose practice highlighted how design today—particularly visual design—extends beyond its traditional boundaries to engage with disciplines such as sound, culture, and technology.
The event brought together students and design professionals in a session that emphasized dialogue across disciplines and generations, leaving a clear takeaway: design can no longer be understood as a closed practice, but rather as a constantly evolving field.
