The prestigious iF Design Awards featured representation from IED Madrid, with its Academic Director serving on an international jury of design experts.
On April 28, the iF Design Awards 2025 were held in Berlin at the majestic Friedrichstadt-Palast. These awards, considered among the most prestigious in the design industry, have been presented since 1954. The official award ceremony will take place on June 20 at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
This year's edition stood out for its focus on sustainability and technological innovation, as well as for the more than 7,000 entries submitted from 72 countries. Of those, 300 projects were selected for the final round. A top-tier international jury was responsible for selecting the winners, with Beatriz Amann, Academic Director of IED Madrid, among its members. She was joined by other renowned design professionals such as Ceren Bagatar from Onegeneration, Jonas Borngräber from Grohe/Lixil, and Luján Cambariere, among others.
Once again, IED Madrid reaffirms its presence and relevance in the global design scene—this time in an event that shares core values with the institution’s DNA, including functionality, environmental commitment, and technological innovation.
According to Beatriz Amann, “these awards offer an opportunity to once again see the future of design from a new perspective: more committed, open, inclusive, and flexible.”
