A journey through the senses and the narrative of contemporary luxury menriched the Master in Design for Hospitality at IED Rome.
Inge Moore, co-founder of the London-based studio Muza Lab, was the special guest of the lesson led by Chiara Zamborlini and Giulia Nonni, bringing to the classroom her deep and poetic design vision, applied to high-end hospitality interiors.
The talk, addressed to students of the Master in Interior Design for Hospitality, the Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, and the Master of Arts in Design for Public Spaces, offered a full immersion into Muza Lab’s unique approach: a design philosophy rooted in materials, culture, and the stories of places.
In her lecture titled "The Art of Designing Luxury Experiences with Muza Lab," Moore shared ideas, creative processes, and key case studies, showing how each project—whether an international resort, a superyacht, or a private residence—is conceived as a multisensory experience. Textures, local materials, artisanal techniques, and symbolic references are woven into environments that evoke emotion and remain imprinted in memory.
“Luxury in design is mostly spoken about in terms of what is seen" she explained, emphasizing how every space should tell a story and connect those who inhabit it to the landscape, history, and soul of the place.
A valuable opportunity to engage directly with the design philosophy of one of the most influential studios on the international scene—one that has redefined the very concept of luxury in contemporary interior design.
