Photography students will take center stage at the fair enlivening the Promotrice delle Belle Arti from October 29 to November 2.
The collaboration between IED Turin and APART – Art & Antiques Fair returns this year as well: the fair dedicated to antiques and art will animate the Promotrice delle Belle Arti from October 29 to November 2, 2025. Now in its ninth edition, APART confirms its role as a point of reference for collectors, enthusiasts, and the curious, offering a journey through centuries, cultures, and artistic languages.
For the seventh consecutive year, seven third-year students from the Three-year Photography Course at IED Turin will be an integral part of the event thanks to the contest “A new generation of photographers and antiques,” promoted by the Associazione Piemontese Antiquari (Piedmont Antiques Dealers Association) and La Repubblica.
Under the guidance of photographer and lecturer Antonio La Grotta, the young authors will interpret the fair through their contemporary perspective, narrating the encounter between past and present that defines APART: the works, the spaces, the installations, and the people who inhabit them. From the preparation stages to the public opening, the students will experience an immersive journey that combines training and visual storytelling, experimenting with photography as a tool for cultural narration.
At the end of the fair, the best photographic projects will be honored with an award in memory of Marco Guastella, a young photographer and winner of the 2021 edition who passed away prematurely. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 2 at 11:30 a.m., in the presence of the jury chaired by lawyer and collector Fulvio Gianaria and composed of Aldo Ajassa, President of the Associazione Piemontese Antiquari, Ottavia Giustetti, journalist at La Repubblica, Giulia Ticozzi, Coordinator of the Photography Course at IED Turin, and Enrico Carpegna, photographer and lecturer.
