Designer and artist Jaime Hayón, a Product Design alumni of IED Madrid, has been honoured with the National Excellence Award at the fourth edition of the Escala Interior Design Awards, held on 18 June at the Royal Tapestry Factory in Madrid.
The award recognises professionals whose careers have made a significant contribution to the development of design and interior design in Spain. It was presented by Andrés Castejón, CEO of Strohm, the event's main sponsor.
The ceremony brought together leading figures from the architecture, design and interior design sectors to celebrate some of the country´s most outstanding professionals and projects. This year, the jury recognised Hayón´s contribution, highlighting his internationally acclaimed creative approach, which seamlessly combines art, design and craftsmanship.
After studying at IED Madrid, Jaime Hayón has collaborated with some of the world's most prestigious design brands, and his work is part of the permanent collections of major international museums, establishing him as one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish design.
