Two IED Barcelona projects to be exhibited in "Matter Matters" at the Museu del Disseny-Dhub

The Museu del Disseny (DHub) has selected two IED Barcelona projects through its annual “Matèria Prima” open call to be part of “Matter Matters. Designing with the World”, an exhibition that rethinks our relationship with matter as an active agent.
These are “The Beetle Bottle”, by Product Design alumnus Abdelaziz Moustafa, which will be featured in the 2026/27 Autumn/Winter exhibition (from 6 October to 28 March), and the collection “Mis queridos Ascos”, by Fashion Design graduate Violeta Mata, which will be showcased in the Spring/Summer exhibition of the same academic year (from 21 April until early September).
“The Beetle Bottle” proposes a compact, modular bottle designed to provide reliable access to water in extreme desert conditions. “Mis queridos Ascos” reflects on the boundaries of what provokes feelings of disgust through fashion and art.
The two projects will take over from “Caliu”, by Product Design Alumni Judith Aubà, which has been on display until now.
