The laboratory investigates a new typological configuration of the market, which becomes a suitable place to accommodate initiatives with a social, educational, and cultural character.

The project, in collaboration with the VII municipality of Rome, aims to invest resources in markets to trigger urban regeneration operations. The students have selected the Quarto Miglio market as the subject of their thesis, located between Appia Pignatelli and Capannelle. The Interior Design course has developed hypotheses for innovative layouts and services, while Graphic and Media Design courses have delved into not only the spaces but also the visual identity of the new market, the orientation system, and the design of tools for dissemination and awareness on topics related to nutrition, food waste reduction, and the promotion of local products."
