The panot-inspired lattices are the backbone of a design that brings the language of the city to a hotel lobby

Project for the lobby of the Ohla Barcelona hotel that aims to bring the language of the city and the neighbourhood to the hotel establishment while generating a more effective functioning of the common areas.

In order to do this, the students propose a redistribution of the spaces that facilitates orientation and circulation, and includes new seats for guests and visitors.

Modular lattices and panels made up of blue ceramic pieces that imitate the panot, or floral pattern found on the city’s pavements, in the form of a patchwork, function as the backbone of the design concept.
