The Master in Graphic Design trains professionals capable of leading visual projects with critical insight, aesthetic sensitivity and technical mastery.
Throughout the programme, you will learn to conceptualise and develop strong, coherent graphic systems, combining identity, narrative and creative direction across both physical and digital environments. From typographic exploration and brand creation to AI-generated imagery, the programme offers a cross-disciplinary learning experience where traditional tools, contemporary visual languages and emerging technologies converge.
The master addresses key fields such as editorial design, audiovisual media, interactive design and visual culture from a contemporary strategic viewpoint, understanding design as a form of critical thinking, communication and cultural transformation.
This programme is taught at IED Madrid Design District- Oporto.

You will work across editorial, digital, audiovisual and speculative contexts, applying traditional techniques together with advanced tools such as AI-driven design or art direction for immersive experiences.
The course includes subjects in typography, branding, editorial design and visual narrative, with project laboratories focused on art direction applied to fashion, music and visual culture.
This master is aimed at professionals and recent graduates in design, visual communication, fine arts, industrial design or architecture who wish to deepen and specialise in advanced graphic design practice.
It is designed for those who, driven by a strong creative intention, want to expand their knowledge of traditional graphic design areas or evolve into strategic designers with a critical approach to social and cultural impact. It is also suitable for active professionals who want to update their skills in emerging trends and technologies, or rethink their role within a globalised and highly competitive context where strategic creativity is essential.
Previous experience with software such as Adobe Creative Suite is required.
